Fly In A World War II Fighter Plane In West Chicago

The historic aircrafts will be on display and you can even do a flight training on one of them.

WEST CHICAGO, IL — If you've ever dreamt of flying in a World War II fighter plane, now's your chance. Four World War II-era planes will be featured in an exhibit at DuPage Airport, giving visitors a chance to take ground tours — or board one of the planes and take flight — on July 30, July 31, and August 1.

Board a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, B-25 Mitchell, or B-24 Liberator bomber plane for a 30-minute ride that will put you in the shoes of a World War II fighter. Aspiring pilots can also fly a TF-51D during a special flight training exercise.

If you're not interested in taking to the skies, you can simply view the historic planes and snap pics and selfies as you watch them take to the air.
