BATAVIA, IL — Batavia Police Department officers were called Wednesday morning to Suncast Corporation in the 700 block of North Kirk Road where a former employee showed up and threatened to shoot a security guard, the department said in a news release. Officers were sent to the Batavia-based storage manufacturer at 6:22 a.m. and were told that 27-year-old Derri N. Enoch Jr, from DeKalb, arrived to work and was advised Wednesday — and previously — by security officers that he was terminated and no longer allowed on the property, before threatening to shoot the guard, according to police.

A 911 call was made leading several law enforcement agencies to come to the business, and Enoch was arrested, according to the news release. Enoch never took out a gun, and no guns were found on him or at the business, police added.

Enoch faces aggravated assault of a private security officer and disorderly conduct charges.
