Don't delay in getting tickets now for the BHS Production EVERYBODY at the Batavia Fine Arts Centre!

(S./A. Schones - Both/And Pictures)

Don’t delay in getting tickets now for the Batavia High School Production EVERYBODY at the Batavia Fine Arts Centre Thursday, April 18th at 7:30pm, Friday, April 19th at 7:30pm, and Saturday April 20th at 2:00pm and 7:30 pm.

Finalist for the 2018 Pulitzer Prize written by Branden Jacob-Jenkins, EVERYBODY is a modern riff on the anonymous 15th-century morality play Everyman, which places man in dialogue with personified concepts in order to convince viewers to embrace a good life. This Production is unlike any other for the BHS Drama Department.

Director Dominic A. Cattero has taken this creative show to the next level with unique staging and many surprise elements that are not expected. When asked what the audience members can expect he said “I believe this production is a once in a lifetime experience that audience members will never have again, everything you know and expect about theater – throw it out the window! This will be an all-encompassing artistic experience that will start when you walk in the lobby to the theatre. We want you to experience this production as a human on a journey and see how it affects you. You will have to work to see and experience this show – it will be happening all around you!”

Cast and Crew have been working tirelessly to put this original piece of art together. Some of the actors in this adaptation also play abstractions, and the will rotate parts every performance based on a random drawing. This is a thrilling commitment to the power of live performance that also challenges the actors as the cast is chosen by lottery every night. That's right, the cast nor the audience will know who is playing what part until the show starts! This will also account for every performance to be one of a kind since different actors may play different parts, no two shows will be the same. It is recommended to see it more than once!

Tickets are on sale now, prices are $12 on line available at www.BataviaFineArtsCentre.org and at the box office by calling 630-937-8930. Tickets also will be available at the door for $14. In keeping with the unconventional style of this show, tickets will be general admission. Upon patron arrival, each person will randomly draw their seat number. This will allow the audience to experience the performance not just as a spectator but as an actual participant.
