Honey Queen Visits Batavia Library To Teach About Bees: May 22
The 2017 American Honey Queen will speak about the importance of honey bees during a program Monday, May 22.

BATAVIA, IL - The 2017 American Honey Queen, Maia Jaycox, will visit the Batavia Public Library Monday, May 22 at 4:30 p.m. to speak with families about the importance of honey bees and their role in nature.
The presentation will include a photo opportunity with the Honey Queen, an optional honey tasting, a question-and-answer session and bee-related activities for the children. There will also be some beekeeper's tools on display for children to view and touch.
Jaycox's stop in Batavia is sponsored by the Fox Valley Beekeepers Association and is part of her larger tour around the country as a representative of the American Beekeeping Federation.

Registration is not required. Doors to the Founders Room open at 4:15 p.m.
