Island Avenue To Partially Close For Gas Main Replacement In Batavia

Press release from the City of Batavia:

Beginning this week, Nicor will be conducting needed replacement of a gas main located on Island Ave. from the southwest corner of Houston St. and Island Ave. to the east side of Shumway Ave. just north of Wilson.

The work will require temporary lane closures and reconfigurations.

Flaggers will be present, and the public is urged to use caution when traveling through this area.

The work is expected to be completed mid-May. Updates will be provided as the work progresses.
