Hands on learning for children in preschool and older

The Batavia Public Library will host its third annual “Science & Art Fair” from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on January 27, at the library, 10 S. Batavia Ave.

Families with children in preschool through grade eight are invited to explore a variety of exhibits and participate in a number of activities provided by local organizations. Fair participants include the Frog Lady, T-Rexplorers, School of Art Geneva, Northern Illinois University Stem Outreach, SciTech Museum, Wonder Works, and Water Street Studios.

Children will have the opportunity to create and take home a whirligig courtesy of the School of Art, view dinosaur fossils, and get an up-close look at amphibian and reptile friends of the Frog Lady.
