Riverside Pizza & Pub To Open In Downtown Batavia
The restaurant will occupy the vacant space left by Walgreens in Batavia Plaza.

BATAVIA, IL — The vacant space once occupied by a Walgreens and a Jewel in downtown Batavia will soon be empty no longer. Riverside Pizza and Pub is aiming to open at the 142 W. Wilson venue by fall 2018, Kane County Chronicle reports.
The restaurant, which currently has locations in St. Charles and Elgin, will serve up pizza, pub fare, and drinks in a 5,000 square feet space next door to Daddio's
The Riverside menu naturally centers around pizza, offering dozens of options that include thin crust, Chicago style, an stuffed cheese. There are even vegetarian and gluten free crust options for those with dietary restrictions.

Diners can top their pies with traditional ingredients or inventive specialty toppings, such as Italian beef and alfredo sauce or chicken and barbecue sauce.
Other options run the gamut from baby back ribs and homemade wings to jumbo fried shrimp and penne pasta with bacon and vodka sauce.

According to Kane County Chronicle, Riverside Pizza and Pub hopes to add wood trusses to the interior when they revamp the space. Before any changes are made to the space, Riverside must get approval from the Batavia Historical Society.
The Riverside Pizza and Pub project, helmed by developers BEI, is currently pending building permit approval.
