Summer Enrichment Classes (Preschool-Grade 4) Continue
Summer Enrichment sessions continue in July. Register now!

Immanuel Lutheran School (950 Hart Rd., Batavia) is offering Summer Enrichment classes for children age three through those entering fourth grade. ABCs AND 123s, for preschoolers age three and four, Mrs. Nelson (early childhood educator) leads little people in playing, learning, singing, and exploring! With fun, themed activities, preschoolers are strengthening their number and letter awareness. These little ones are also learning important skills like how to socialize in a group and sharing space with friends.
LIT LAB, for children entering K-Grade 2, Penny Suydam (ILS Grade 5 teacher and 2016 LEA Outstanding Elementary Teacher) is helping children make connections between books and scientific concepts through lots of reading and lots of hands-on science. Children experience what it’s like to be an architect, inventor, or weather forecaster and also digging and building, cloud-watching, and much, much more!

TRIP AROUND THE WORLD, for children entering Grades 3-4)
Bill Moser (ILS Grade 4 teacher and ILS Class of 2006 alumnus) is helping children explore cultures around the world through books, music, food, art, and other special projects. Children begin by exploring literature from the focus country and discovering together what is different from life in the U.S. Video and audio highlighting the culture’s language, traditions, music, and food are also explored; followed by wrap-up activities such as learning a dance, composing a song, creating a work of art, or sampling the culture’s cuisine.
