Wilson St. Bridge To Undergo Preventative Maintenance For 3 Weeks
Officials said the project will be performed by Alliance Contractors.

BATAVIA, IL — The Wilson Street Bridge is getting a shiny new coat for summer, but drivers and pedestrians will have to work around the maintenance for two to three weeks, officials said.
Starting on Monday, June 14, only two lanes of traffic will be available on the Wilson Street Bridge. Alliance Contractors will power-wash the bridge and seal it with a protective coat in addition to cleaning and sealing the bridge's "bump-outs" and brick sidewalk.
Parking on the bridge deck will be prohibited during maintenance from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, but all parking and traffic lanes will be re-opened at the end of the workday. The sidewalk will be closed on side at a time with a detour route that is yet to be decided.
