Student Uninjured After Spilling Acid in Biology Class at St. Xavier University: UPDATE
Hazmat team on-scene Monday evening.

CHICAGO, IL, Update 6:06 p.m. -- A senior-year student at St. Xavier University spilled some hydrochloric acid on her shoes during a biology class in the university's Warde Academic Building on the Chicago campus.
"The student is fine," SXU spokeswoman Karla Thomas said. "The Chicago Fire Department is doing a haz-mat check just to make sure everything is okay."
The student was not injured, nor were any other students or faculty members.

Original story -- One student was reportedly burned Monday evening in a hydrochloric acid spill at St. Xavier University.
A Hazmat team is on the scene at 3700 W. 103rd, Chicago Southwest News reports via Twitter. It's unclear at this time how much of the acid was spilled or how many people were affected.
