19th Ward Distributing 'Slow Down' Signs To Residents
"Slow Down -- Children Playing" signs will be distributed free to 19th Ward residents to curb speeders. Requests taken until Feb. 28.

CHICAGO — If you’re tired of screaming “slow down” and speed demons zipping down your residential street, the 19th Ward will be offering a limited number of free “Please Slow Down - Kids Play Here” yard signs for community residents. Yard sign requests will be accepted through Sunday, February 28th and delivery is expected in mid-March.
“The speed of traffic through our community is a growing concern,” Ald. Matt O’Shea said. “All residents are asked to be more mindful of their vehicle’s speed when driving.”
Please note, while there is no fee for the sign, there is a limit of two signs per block. Requests will be honored on a first come, first served basis. To request a sign, please click here.
