3 Dead, Toddler Injured In Crash Near I-57 Exit In Morgan Park
Chicago police say a Nissan hatchback collided with an SUV on 112th Place late Wednesday night.

CHICAGO — Three people were killed and several others injured, including a 3-year-old girl, in a late night New Year's Day crash just off the 111th Street I-57 exit in Morgan Park. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office has identified one of the fatal victims as Ruby M. Johnson, 28, of Chicago.
Chicago police say the driver of a 2012 Nissan hatchback was headed eastbound on 112th Place around 11:15 p.m. That driver collided with a 2013 black Nissan SUV in the intersection with the highway exit after the SUV failed to stop at a red light while turning left. Johnson was one of the three fatal victims in the hatchback. She was taken to Roseland Hospital and pronounced dead, police said.
Other fatal victims in the car were a 30-year-old woman who was pronounced dead at Roseland and a 56-year-old woman who was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and pronounced dead there. Neither of these two women were identified as of 9:15 a.m. Thursday.

A family member told ABC-7 the victims were all family members who were returning from a New Year's Day party that had a roaring 20's theme.
Four people who were in the SUV were hospitalized in stable condition. The 3-year-old is at Comer Children's Hospital. A 61-year-old woman is at the University of Chicago. Another 61-year-old woman and a 20-year-old woman were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center.
