4th Suspect Arrested In Retired Firefighter Shooting Death: Cops
Chicago police said the fourth suspect in the shooting death of CFD Lt. Dwain Williams was arrested on a separate warrant in Pennsylvania.

CHICAGO — A fourth suspect has been arrested in the shooting death of retired CFD Lt. Dwain Williams’ in Pennsylvania, Chicago police said. The man was taken into custody on a separate warrant by the FBI.
CPD Supt. David Brown said in a tweet that the man is being held in Pennsylvania on a $2 million warrant for first degree murder.
“We’re seeking immediate extradition back to Chicago,” Brown said.

On Dec. 3, retired CFD Lt. Dwain Williams was leaving a popcorn store in Morgan Park when police said he was approached by four men driving a stolen Ford Fusion. The men were believed to be after Williams' Jeep Grand Cherokee. There was an exchange of gunfire between Williams, who held a conceal-carry license, and the four men, police said. Williams suffered a fatal gunshot wound.
A 15-year-old boy was arrested Dec. 16 in Chicago Heights by the Chicago FBI and South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force. The teen was charged as a juvenile with first-degree murder. Police also recovered a gun which is currently being tested at the Illinois State Police Crime Lab to determine if it was the same weapon used in Williams’ shooting death. His name is not being released because he is a juvenile.

Later that same day, 18-year-old Dwain Johnson, of Gary, IN, was arrested in Oak Forest. Johnson was charged with first-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon/possession, and unlawful use of a weapon with a handgun.
Suburban police were familiar with the two and believe that both belonged to a crew that pulled off several carjackings in the city and suburbs.
A third man, Devin Barron, of Lynwood, was taken into custody on Dec. 26 by the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force. Investigators identified the 20-year-old as one of the participants in the fatal attempted carjacking. Barron was charged with felony first degree murder and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. Barron is also facing a misdemeanor count for possession of cannabis. Chicago police said Barron was also a fugitive from justice who was wanted on an out-of-state warrant.
The fourth suspect’s name has not yet been released.
