50+ Confirmed Coronavirus Cases In Mt. Greenwood's 60655 Zip Code
The zip code that includes Mount Greenwood, West Beverly and part of Merrionette Park has surpassed 50 confirmed cases.
CHICAGO — As of the afternoon hours of April 7, there were exactly 50 confirmed coronavirus cases in the area that uses the "60655" zip code. That's an area that includes all of the city's Mount Greenwood neighborhood in addition to the city's West Beverly, West Morgan Park and Kennedy Park areas and a portion of near suburban Merrionette Park.
An Illinois Department of Public Health map shows the number of cases by zip code and county. Later on Tuesday, the same map showed 56 confirmed cases in the 60655.
Nearby zip code 60643 (Beverly, Morgan Park, Washington Heights) showed 159 cases at the same time, while there were 80 in the 60453 (Oak Lawn).
