B.A.C. 'Art Comp' Winners Announced
Four winning artists will have their work displayed in the Jack Simmerling Gallery until the end of the year.

CHICAGO — The winners of this year's Beverly Arts Center art competition, the 43rd annual "Art Comp" were announced this past Sunday. Artists honored with this year's award include Sara Peak Convery, Darrin Patton, Erik Ohrn and Karen Duffy. They will have their winning artwork displayed in the B.A.C.'s Jack Simmerling Gallery from Nov. 10 to Dec. 29.
- Convery won the Beverly Bank Best in Show award of the juried competition with her piece "Embodied."
- Patton won both the Alice and Arthur Baer Award and the Social Justice Award with his piece "Back."
- Ohrn won the Bill and Judie Anderson Award with the piece "Man Sitting with Legs Crossed."
- Duffy won the Purchase Prize award with her piece "Daffodils."
Artists in the competition who received an honorable mention include Jeff Driskill for “Nuclear Family”, TC English-Dumont for “Progeny”, George Miller for “Hand-in-Glove: Pink Lady Blues”, Joe Steiner for “Joe" and Daryl Hudson for “I ain’t mad a’cha.”
