CHICAGO, IL—Youth from Beverly Arts Center’s School of Fine Arts hit the boards Aug. 2, Aug. 3 and Aug. 4 in the hit musical “Mamma Mia.” Featuring songs by the beloved Swedish band ABBA, “Mamma Mia” unfolds on a Greek Island tells the hilarious story of a young woman’s search for her birth father.

The story, which brings three men (and possible dads) from her mother’s past back to the island, is propelled by ABBA’s timeless songs. The show features music by Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, with some songs by Stig Anderson, including the pop hits “Super Trouper,” “Mamma Mia,” “Money, Money” and of course, “Dancing Queen,” to name a few.

“Mamma Mia” features a large cast of talented youth from the BAC School of Fine Arts. The program allows children of all ages to develop a passion for and learn about theater through the creation of professional-level productions—from stagecraft through performing.

Tickets are $8 for BAC members, and $10 for non-members. Purchase tickets online or at the door. Performances are 7 p.m. Aug. 2 and Aug. 3, and 2 p.m. Aug. 4. A full bar and free parking will be available. Beverly Arts Center is located at 2407 W. 111th St. in Chicago’s Beverly and Morgan Park neighborhood.
