CHICAGO — One of the best yearly neighborhood traditions in North Beverly is the Beverly Hills Turkey Trot 5K held on the Saturday morning after Thanksgiving. In 2019, the Turkey Trot returns for its 11th year and will once again benefit the John McNicholas Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and the 19th Ward Youth Foundation.

The race will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30 at the Christ The King School rectory at 9235 S. Hamilton Ave. The course winds through the hilly neighborhood and ends on the same street.

19th Ward Ald. Matt O'Shea says the Turkey Trot is one of his favorite events of the year.
“We expect this year to be one of our largest events ever, with more than 2,000 walkers and runners participating," he said. "It is a great morning to spend with family and neighbors while helping to fund life-changing research for pediatric brain tumors, and providing activities for our youth throughout the year.”
