
A 65-year-old Beverly man was one of three people killed in an Indiana pile-up accident Thursday, authorities announced today.
Jerry Dalrymple, of the 9100 block of Bell, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident along with his dog who was traveling with him, police said.
The crash started on I-94 just outside of Michigan City, Ind. and involved numerous semi-trucks and dozens of vehicles. A total of 22 people were injured in the weather-related crash.
Dalrymple is survived by four children and four granchildren.
In an interview with ABC7 his daughter said he was heading to Indiana to check on his retirement home.
