The Small Business SUPER Raffle is a partnership between the 19th Ward, three local business organizations, and S&T Provisions, a Mt. Greenwood business. Earlier this year, Ald. Matt O’Shea (19th) launched a Go Fund Me campaign to help struggling businesses and provide meals to front-line medical workers, Chicago police officers and Chicago firefighters. The campaign ultimately raised over $150,000 that was spent at local businesses during the first wave of COVID-19.

At the same time, Brian Giaretta of S & T Provisions launched his wildly successful Mega-Lottery to support small businesses. In all, nearly 20,000 tickets were sold at $10 a piece, with two winners being awarded $4500 in gift cards to local restaurants and small businesses. More than $226,000 was raised with the 30 participating businesses splitting revenue.

“This has been an incredibly difficult year for so many of our small businesses who are facing loss of customers, revenue, in addition to having to shut their doors to customers for several months due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” O’Shea said in a news release. “I’m eager to build on the success of our Go Fund Me Campaign and S&T’s mega raffle to provide badly needed assistance to our business community. The residents of Beverly, Morgan Park and Mt. Greenwood have always been incredibly supportive of our local businesses, and I hope everyone will purchase a ticket or two for the SUPER RAFFLE in the coming month.”

"I'm excited to be a part of this momentous event supporting our neighborhood businesses. At the end of the day, we just want everybody to survive these unprecedented times — in every way,” said Giaretta, owner of S&T Provisions. “For anybody who can, please get yourselves a bunch of raffle tickets. You will be personally saving your favorite establishments from closing their doors forever. Thank you all in advance for your support."

Winners of the SUPER RAFFLE will be drawn on Facebook live on Dec 20.

The Small Business Super Raffle is sponsored by the 95th Street Business Association, County Fair, McCarthy Ford, Morgan Park Beverly Hills Business Association, Mount Greenwood Community and Business Association, S & T Provisions and Alderman Matt O’Shea.
