MERRIONETTE PARK, IL — A New York City-based fitness brand is making its way to Chicagoland, and one of Blink Fitness' first two locations to open in the area is in Merrionette Park. The gym recently celebrated a grand opening at 3243 W. 115th St. in the Stonebrook Plaza and another opening near Pulaski and Archer near Midway Airport.

Blink Fitness gyms are firm believers that "exercise isn't just about looking good, it's also about how it makes you feel," according to a news release from the company.

The two South Side openings will soon be joined by three additional Blink Fitness locations to open in the area, with gyms in the works in Oak Lawn, Evanston and the city of Chicago's Bridgeport neighborhood.
