Burglars Target Garages In Morgan Park
In one incident, the burglars used a vehicle to haul away a homeowner's lawn equipment, Chicago police said.

CHICAGO (MORGAN PARK) — A string of garage burglaries have been reported in Morgan Park. Chicago police in the 22nd District are investigating the incidents that occurred during the overnight hours of Aug. 17 and Sept. 6.
The burglar or burglars are entering garages and taking lawn equipment and bikes. In once case, a vehicle was used to load the items, police said. One burglar occurred between 2 and 4 a.m., Aug. 17, in the 11600 block of South Campbell Avenue.
A second burglary was reported between 11 p.m and midnight, Sept. 6, 11600 block of South Maplewood. Residents are advised to keep garage doors locked or fix broken locks to secure their stuff. Also, lock your vehicles when parked in the garage.

Anyone with information about the burglaries are asked to call Area 2 detectives at 312-747-8273. If you see suspicious vehicles trolling the neighborhood, call 911.
