Championship Set In South Side Pizza Showdown: Vote Now
Two legendary South Side pizza places face off in the 2019 South Side Pizza Showdown championship.
CHICAGO — Several thousand pizza lovers have taken to Twitter to help us at the Beverly-Mt. Greenwood Patch determine the favorite pizza of the South Side, south suburbs and most specifically the Beverly-Mt. Greenwood-Morgan Park neighborhoods in the city.
After picking 16 pizza places to be in a bracket-style showdown this month, only two remain alive in the bid to win the 2019 Beverly-Mt. Greenwood Patch South Side Pizza showdown. So let's start the voting now, around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, between finalists No. 1 seed Milano's and No. 3 seed Palermo's.
Milano's advanced to the championship with a 53% to 47% margin over No. 5 Barraco's in the semifinals. Palermo's is here after a razor thin 51% to 49% win over No. 2 Rosangela's.

You'll need a Twitter account to vote as the poll is posted on the @BeverlyMTGPatch Twitter feed. Voting is open for only 24 hours, which means a champion will be crowned around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18.
