'Chicago Fire' Scene Filmed At County Fair Will Air Wednesday
Watch the scene filmed at County Fair Foods in Beverly at 8 p.m. Wednesday night, Oct. 2.

CHICAGO — South Siders who are also fans of the hit NBC show "Chicago Fire" may notice a familiar locale when the next new episode of the series airs Wednesday night, Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. That's when the scene filmed at the iconic County Fair Foods grocery store in the Beverly neighborhood over the summer will air.
County Fair alerted its fans that that's when the scene will air in a Facebook post Monday morning. The public still doesn't know exactly what will happen in the episode, but avid fans of the show might have a better idea.
Crews and several Chicago Fire actors were at County Fair back in July filming the scene. The store was closed for a majority of the day, but a number of employees were filmed as extras in the scene County Fair Owner Bill Baffes said.

"They approached us," said Baffes, who gained national attention last year as "Mustard Man" when he was captured with a smudge of the delicious yellow condiment on his face during a Chicago White Sox game.
"I'm speculating, but I think they (Chicago Fire) wanted an independent grocery store, a neighborhood grocery store and one that is a little quirky."

County Fair surely checked off every item on that list.
Baffes said the scenic locale is supposed to be in Indiana but did not have additional details on what the show will be about.
"I think our farmstand, the barn we have, caught their imagination," he said. "The architecture of our store and the farm theme we have must have made us stand out."
