Chicago Irish Film Festival Presents 'The New Music' Tonight

The 21st Annual Chicago Irish Film Festival hosts the U.S. premier of “The New Music” tonight at the Gallery Theater at 7 p.m., just one film in the collection of 50 extraordinary films by Irish filmmakers working in Ireland, U.S., Australia, Canada, Northern Ireland, England, Palestine and Tanzania.

Adrian is a world-renown pianist on the cusp of a promising career, but a crippling diagnosis pulls his life and dreams apart from one. Young Onset Parkinson's Disease causes Adrian to go underground, disguised as a university student in Dublin. Fate lands him in a shared apartment with three punk musicians who woo him into their lifestyle and out of his personal funk. While once Carnegie Hall was a destination, his new life is the fruit of making the best of the bad.
The CIFF presents screenings in partnership with the Consul General of Ireland-Chicago, Ireland Network – Chicago, and IFI-International & Culture Ireland to strategically build an audience for Irish film through worldwide cultural exhibition.
