Chicago Tops Bed Bug List Again

Ick!

For the second year in a row, Orkin has ranked Chicago as the worst city for bed bugs.

The pest control company bases its list on the number of bed bug treatments it performed in 2013. Chicago was joined in the unfortunate Top 10 list by, in reverse order: Indianapolis, Denver, Washington, D.C., Dayton, Cleveland/Akron/Canton, Cincinnati, Detroit, Columbus and at No. 2, Los Angeles. Orkin offers tips for avoiding an infestation, including decreasing clutter around your house, which makes detection easier, and quarantining any second-hand furniture that you buy before bringing it into your rooms.
