City Grange Sets Beverly Opening Date: Bev Biz Beat
An indie gardening company will open its second Chicago location in a former auto-body shop along the 99th Street business corridor.

CHICAGO (BEVERLY) — The permanent opening of the City Grange indie gardening store in Beverly has been set for Saturday, April 4. The store that specializes in organic and pesticide-free plants, other gardening supplies and gardening education will open in a former auto-body shop at 1818 W. 99th St. along the 99th Street business corridor near the Metra station.
This will be City Grange's second location in the city, growing the business from its original spot at 5500 N. Western Ave. in the Lincoln Square neighborhood. A weekend "pop-up" back in November and December inside the Joplin Marley Studios introduced neighborhood gardeners to City Grange.
“A Beverly resident reached out on Facebook asking us to open a location near her,” City Grange Founder LaManda Joy, an Illinois Extension Master Gardner, author and founder of the Peterson Garden project, said. “I said, ‘Find us a cute vintage auto body shop and we’ll see what we can do!’”
