Embark on a Journey of Science and Story at Your Local Libraries
Beverly and Mt. Greenwood branches of Chicago Public Libraries will be hosting Seekers and Dreamers in Science and Story for children ages 4 and over.

Children ages 4 and up are invited to join in for some fun and folklore today at the Beverly and Mount Greenwood Libraries.
Seekers and Dreamers in Science and Story is a participatory program in which storytellers Bob Kanegis and Liz Mangual will take listeners on a journey from outer space to the dry desert landscape and tall mountains of New Mexico and on back home to Chicago.
Kanegis and Mangual's stories are "sprinkled liberally with scientific observations and flavored with some fresh squeezed accordion music," according to the library, so participants are definitely in for an enjoyable journey.
The storytelling adventure will be held at the Beverly Library at 1:30 p.m. and the Mt. Greenwood Library at 4 p.m.
The Beverly Library is also hosting Choo-Choo Hour from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. for preschoolers. All ages are welcome to join the library for a science-based story with fingerplay, songs, dramatic play activities and a simple craft.
