Errol Magidson, an SXU adjunct professor of psychology, will give a "live" multimedia presentation on "The Making of a Documentary: Chicago's Only Castle" the Beverly Arts Center.
The free, open-to-the-public program will discuss how a documentary is produced from an idea to a quality film, including information about the research, team, actors, script, equipment, and production.
Images and video clips from the film "Chicago's Only Castle: The History of Givins Irish Castle and Its Keepers" will be featured.
Magidson spent over 3,000 hours on this production, and received a prestigious arts grant from Chicago philanthropist Richard H. Driehaus for its production.
