"Experiencing Hildegard of Bingen - Medieval Nun, Doctor of the Church, Wisdom Figure for Our Time" with Prof. Avis Clendenen

SXU Religious Studies Professor Avis Clendenen will give a lecture, "Experiencing Hildegard of Bingen - Medieval Nun, Doctor of the Church, Wisdom Figure for Our Time" in the Butler Reception Room.

Prof. Clendenen, a Hildegard scholar, will introduce this abbess, mystic, musician, theologian, church reformer, and, as of Oct. 7, Doctor of the Church whose story offers some wisdom for present tensions between Church officials and women religious.
