Fireworks Show In Beverly Or Mt. Greenwood? Patch Readers Say Yes

CHICAGO — Sure, there's a display at Navy Pier and a few nearby, including one in Evergreen Park, but can anyone really get tired of fireworks? Apparently not in Beverly, Mount Greenwood and Morgan Park. Residents here voted overwhelmingly in a recent Beverly-Mt. Greenwood Patch Facebook poll that they'd like to see these neighborhoods have their own fireworks display for the 4th of July.

Seventy-one percent of the 117 votes cast in the poll shown below said they would be in favor of a local show. But what do you think? Tell us why you are either in support or against the idea of having a separate fireworks show in the neighborhood.
