'Frunchroom' Lineup Includes Open Outcry Owner, State Rep
Five speakers will tell their South Side stories at the Beverly Arts Center as "The Frunchroom" celebrates its 4th anniversary.

CHICAGO - "The Frunchroom," the quarterly live storytelling series of, by and about the South Side, will celebrate its 4th anniversary this Thursday, May 23 with another stellar lineup of speakers.
Scheduled to speak at the Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St. beginning at 7:30 p.m. are:
- John Brand, owner of Open Outcry Brewing
- Kambium Buckner, Illinois State Rep. (D-26th)
- Griselda Garibay, national director of the Mujeres Leadership Program for Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement
- Tim Samuelson, a Chicago cultural historian
- Frank Williams, a realtor and fair housing advocate
“When the Arts Alliance and I started this project, I’m not sure any of us imagined it would be a years-long endeavor,” said Scott Smith, host and co-producer of The Frunchroom. “We’ve received so much support from the community. That’s what makes it possible.”

As always, organizers encourage attendees to dine at Ellie's Cafe, 10701 S. Hale Ave. prior to the show. Anyone who shows their receipt for dinner that night will not have to provide the $5 donation for admission.
