Fun Awaits in June at Free Family Fun Nights

Make a date with your kids for Family Fun Nights, Thursdays, June 2, 9, 16 and 23, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., in the Beverly Bank parking lot, 1908 W. 103rd St., Chicago.

Every week a different theme will be celebrated with special guests, activities, music, fun and food. Little Company of Mary Hospital will be handing out giveaways to the kids and doctors will be available to talk to mom and dad about family health. Calabria Imports will be selling food and Original Rainbow Cone will be selling ice cream. Bring your chairs and blankets, and get ready for a good time.

• June 2 -- Miss Jamie’s Farm will be celebrating the Rootin’ Tootin’ Hoedown with songs and activities sure to appeal to all her barnyard buddies. Jamie has been performing at parties in Chicagoland since 2013, and is a favorite among kids and their parents.

• June 9 -- Jeannie McQueenie Productions will put on a show for Playful Puppeteers. Known for interactive, original puppet shows that engage young audiences, Jeannie McQueenie gets kids moving with song, dance and more.

• June 16 -- Erin Yanz’s popular petting zoo Nature’s Creatures joins the fun on Bubble Bash night, Kids will love learning about animals and the environment and finding out some interesting and fun facts. The evening will also include playtime with bubbles, sidewalk chalk and more.

• June 23 -- Families will join in the official Summer Kick-Off Party. Live music, lots of fun activities are in store as we celebrate everyone’s favorite time of year.

Neighbors won’t want to miss their chance to get in on the Beverly Area Planning Association’s Summer Raffle. Prizes include two round-trip tickets on Southwest Airlines, a one night stay at the downtown Hyatt Hotel, and a brand new Cypress Giant bike from Beverly Bike and Ski. Tickets are $20 and the drawing will be held at the Beverly Hills Cycling Classic Bikes and Brews on July 15. Raffle proceeds benefit Special Olympics Mount Greenwood Chapter and BAPA’s community programs.

Family Fun Nights are co-sponsored by the Beverly Area Planning Association), Little Company of Mary Hospital, University of Chicago Medicine, Beverly Bank and Trust, Neighborhood Parents Network, 19th Ward Youth Foundation, Calabria Imports, Original Rainbow Cone and Horse Thief Hollow. The events will be presented as planned, weather permitting.
