Get Out and Golf for St. Xavier University Student Scholarships
Your preview of the biggest events and occasions this week in Beverly and Mt. Greenwood.

Kill two birds with one swing—golf swing, that is. St. Xavier University invites community members to participate in the 17th Annual Golf Classic. The event supports student scholarships for St. Xavier, and it benefits you by being able to enjoy a beautiful day of golf at the Silver Lake Country Club, 14700 S. 82nd Ave., in Orland Park.
Check-in begins at 7 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m., and the day concludes with a dinner and reception.
Registration for individual golfers is $300, which includes green fees, cart, continental breakfast, lunch on the course, beverages, reception, and dinner. Participants can register online at www.sxu.edu using the keyword "golf" (no quotations).
The event also includes $50 Pick-Your-Prize raffle tickets (five for $200) and $25 Cougar Classic tickets (five for $100). For more information on raffle prizes, read the event listing here.
Last year’s Golf Classic raised more than $112,000 for scholarships. St. Xavier University hopes to raise even more this year with the help of the community.
