Happy Anniversary, Parade Couples!
To all who met their significant other on the final Sunday before St. Patrick's Day at or near Western Avenue, this toast is to you.

CHICAGO — March takes on added significance as the most wonderful time of the year for a number of couples who are celebrating their anniversaries as the South Side Irish Parade approaches.
When we shared the story of Tim and Julia McSweeney meeting on a Parade Day in the late 1980's, a number of other similar stories surfaced. Including this one of Robert and Diana Serb, who met while pushing wheelchairs the entire parade route some 25 years ago.
The response to the McSweeney and Serb stories brought out a few more parade love stories. It turns out that more than a few people have met their soul mates at the South Side Irish Parade. Here's some of the comment activity we saw on Facebook.
