HIIT The Park Before 'Get Behind The Vest' Pancake Breakfast
Barre It All Fitness will offer a high intensity workout before the pancake breakfast at Mt. Greenwood Park on Sunday, March 21.
CHICAGO — Before stuffing yourself with pancakes, get a workout in with Barre It All Fitness before the “Get Behind The Vest” pancake breakfast this Sunday, March 21.
The fitness studio will is offering a 30-minute “Back the Blue” HIIT class from 8:15 to 8:45 a.m. at Mount Greenwood Park, 3721 W. 111th St. Participants will be challenged to a class of high intensity interval training, cardiovascular movements and strength movements using your own body weight.
There is a suggested donation of $10, which will go to the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation and the Troglia family.

The memorial foundation has paid out more than $4.6 million to purchase 11,276 replacement bullet-proof vests for Chicago police officers over the years. This year, the 19th Ward’s pancake breakfast hopes to raise funds to purchase 500 new vests.

Online reservations for breakfast orders are being accepted now through Thursday, March 18 on the 19th Ward website. Each meal includes two servings of pancakes and sausage for a $20 donation. Breakfasts will be delivered to your doorstep, or you can pick up your pancakes at St. John Fisher Church, 10235 S Fairfield Ave, Chicago, but you need to order online. Volunteers are also needed to deliver and make pancakes.
You will receive a confirmation email with your delivery or pick up time on the Friday prior to the event.
