Home Run Inn Will Donate 5,000 Pizzas To CPS Essential Workers
The food donations amid the coronavirus crisis will be made at 300 Chicago Public Schools.

CHICAGO — Home Run Inn, a Chicago-based pizza chain with a location at 10900 S. Western Ave. in the Beverly/Morgan Park neighborhood, will donate thousands of pizzas to essential workers at Chicago Public Schools during the coronavirus pandemic. The company said this week the donations of 5,000 6-inch personal sized frozen cheese pizzas will be made at 300 of the schools.
“Since schools closed as a result of the COVID-19 crisis, our dedicated food service staff has worked tirelessly to serve millions of meals to students across the city," said Jason Mojica, director of operations for CPS Nutrition Support Services. "On behalf of CPS, I want to thank Home Run Inn for honoring the hard work of our essential workers.”

The pizza chain has committed to feeding more than 75,000 police, fire and hospital first responders, as well as Americans in need, during April. The company is also donating 5,000 6-inch personal sized frozen cheese pizzas to Big Shoulders Fund to feed children in need of lunches, according to a news release.
“Serving Chicagoland for more than seven decades, we are fortunate to be able to support those individuals on the frontlines in our communities, especially in this time of great need,” Home Run Inn CEO, Dan Costello said.
