Mother McAuley Basketball Team Finishes As State Runner-Up
Mother McAuley advanced to the 2019 IHSA Class 4A championship game, defeating Benet Academy before losing to Maine West.

NORMAL, IL - The Mother McAuley High School basketball team finished as the IHSA Class 4A state runner-up. The Mighty Macs fell to Maine West, 58-46 in the state championship game at Redbird Arena Saturday night. It is the best finish for the Mighty Macs in more than 20 years.
Maine West 58, Mother McAuley 46 final. Macs finish 34-3, Class 4A state runner-up, best state finish since 1995. Jenna Badali 13 pts, Grace Hynes 12 pts/7 rebs, Bella Finnegan 8 pts, Hannah Swiatek 6 pts, Nikki Murphy 5 asts. Heck of a run for the Mighty Macs.

The Mighty Macs advanced to Saturday's championship with a 48-38 win over Benet Academy on Friday night. Jenna Badali had 21 points for Mother McAuley in the win.
