New Parade Gear Going Fast At South Side Irish Imports: Biz Beat
A portion of the profits from the 2020 South Side Irish Parade shirts and sweaters at South Side Irish Imports will help fund the parade.

CHICAGO (MT. GREENWOOD) — New apparel for the 2020 South Side Irish Parade is in stock, and going quite fast at the South Side Irish Imports store on 111th Street in Mount Greenwood. As in years past, a portion of the proceeds from the new gear — which includes t-shirts, long sleeve shirts and embroidered beanies —will go to the South Side Irish Parade committee and be used for off-setting the cost of the South Side Irish Parade set for March 15 along Western Avenue this year.
This year, an additional $1 for every parade shirt sold at the store will be donated to the Tom Hopkins Foundation, the 2020 South Side Irish Parade honoree.
"It is nice to be able to support this family-oriented parade," South Side Irish Imports Owner Linda Gorman said.

The front of the shirt includes a logo noting the 103rd and Western start of the parade and 115th and Western finish along with the Chicago skyline and a shamrock in the colors and design of the Chicago flag. The back includes the lines "Faith - Heritage" and "Faith - Community" along with noting this year's parade grand marshals the Catholic elementary school teachers and the Tom Hopkins Foundation.
Gorman said the new parade apparel is not expected to last until the day of the parade. A limited quantity of the merchandise pictured below is available at the South Side Irish Imports stores in Mount Greenwood (3446 W. 111th St.) and Tinley Park (7725 W. 159th St.).
