CHICAGO — Parents in the city's Beverly neighborhood and neighboring neighborhoods and suburbs have an opportunity to send their child to an in-person summer camp during the year of the coronavirus. The Beverly Arts Center, 2411 W. 111th St. will offer an "on premise" option for their annual summer arts camp from July 6 to Aug. 28, 2020. A virtual option will also be held this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and spread of the new coronavirus disease across the world.

The camp, held annually at the arts center at the southwest corner of 111th and Western, is open to children ages 6-12 and has teaching artists guide campers with hands-on instruction in art, dance, music, theatre and film according to a news release from the B.A.C.

Each session takes a theme such as superheroes, science or Broadway and engages children to discover their inner artist, the arts center said. In-person sessions will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The cost is $450, and $405 for B.A.C. members.
