Police Officer's Dog Choked During Walk In Mt. Greenwood: Report
The wife of a Chicago police officer said a man was using profanities against police before attacking her dog near 111th and Kedzie.
CHICAGO — A 34-year-old man from Berwyn is facing misdemeanor counts of assault and cruelty to animals after police said he choked a dog near 111th and Kedzie in the city's Mount Greenwood neighborhood Tuesday morning. Junior Lacy was charged shortly after the report was made following a "short foot pursuit" along 111th Street around 8:40 a.m., police said.
A WGN report indicates Terese Arroyo, the wife of a Chicago police officer, was walking her 9-year-old boxer named Rerun when Lacy approached her and apparently noticed the police collar on the dog.
"He kept using profanity," Arroyo said in the WGN report. "F this, F the police, I'll kill all of them."

Chicago police said Lacy "started yelling" at the woman and her dog, then "grabbed the dog leash out of the victim's hands (and) began to choke the dog."
Police said the victim screamed before Lacy fled. They arrested him near 111th and Pulaski a few minutes later, according to police.
