Police: Suspicious Vehicle Occupants Flee on Foot Through Mt. Greenwood

Police searched Monday night for three occupants of a suspicious vehicle who fled on foot.

Residents of Mount Greenwood were greeted with a heavy police presence Monday night as officers searched for three men who took off from a suspicious vehicle.

On Monday, Jan. 13 at about 8 p.m. officers noticed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of CVS in the 3900 block of 103rd Street, according to a Chicago Police News Affairs officer.

As officers approached the vehicle to conduct an investigation, three males fled the vehicle on foot, police said.

A "systematic" search of the surrounding area was then conducted to locate the men, police said.

During the search, officers apprehended a 21-year-old man who was found to be in possession of altered or fraudulent gift cards, police said. The man was placed into custody and charges are pending.

Police did not say what happened to the other two occupants.
