Property Tax Appeal Seminar At The Ag School Thursday

Residents of Mount Greenwood and nearby neighborhoods and towns will be assisted in appealing their assessments.

CHICAGO — A property tax appeal seminar is planned for Thursday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. at the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences, 3857 W. 111th St.

19th Ward Ald. Matt O'Shea said staff from the Cook County Board of Review will be there to help residents appeal their property tax assessments, which should take no more than five minutes and "can result in significant property tax savings."

Commissioner Larry Rogers, Jr., State Senator Bill Cunningham, State Representatives Kelly Burke, Fran Hurleyand Justin Slaughter are co-sponsoring the seminar.

Cook County residents should bring their property tax bill or property index number, O'Shea said.
