Second Juvie Charged In Beverly-Mt. Greenwood Double Carjacking
A 17-year-old has been charged in the June 6 double-carjacking that started in the Subway parking lot.

CHICAGO — A second juvenile has been charged in connection with the double-carjacking that began at a sandwich shop June 6. A 17-year-old male was changed with one felony count of aggravated carjacking with a firearm.
During the early morning hours of June 6, in the parking lot of Subway, 3154 W. 103rd St., two women were sitting in their blue 2017 Kia Forte, when three men, described as male blacks in their late teens, approached the car pointing a handgun and shotgun at the women, demanding their vehicle, according to Chicago police.
A 27-year-old man and a 29-year-old man were robbed inside the restaurant. Police released surveillance video that appeared to show one of the suspects entering the subway with a shotgun hidden inside his pant leg.

An hour later, a blue Kia was spotted in the 10200 block of South Oakley Avenue, where a 27-year-old ride-share driver had his black Ford Expedition stolen at gunpoint. The SUV was later recovered. Police believe both carjackings to be related.
The second teen was arrested June 24 by Chicago police and the Great Lakes Regional Task Force, according to CPD News Affairs.

Another suspect was arrested June 9 and charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking, vehicular hijacking, four counts of armed robbery, four counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of aggravated battery, and reckless discharge of a firearm, police said. The third suspect remains at large.
