South Side Business Owners Warned Of Rock Throwing Burglars
Chicago police alert Roseland and Washington Heights business owners of burglaries where a rock was thrown through the store windows.

CHICAGO — 22nd District Chicago Police are alerting businesses in the South Side Washington Heights and Roseland communities of recent commercial burglaries. All the burglaries occurred during the overnight hours
A brick or rock was used to shatter the store windows, where the burglars entered the business, police said. Once inside the stores, money was stolen from the cash register.
Burglaries were reported at the following times and locations:

- 7 a.m. May 3, 1100 block of West 111th St.
- 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. June 3-4, 10300 block of South Halsted St.
- 4 a.m. June 5, 11100 block of South Halsted St.
A person possibly involved in the burglary was wearing a tan jacket, according to the CPD News Affairs.

• Keep the perimeter of your property well-lit.
• Report suspicious activity immediately.
• Keep doors and windows secured.
• Immediately repair any broken windows, doors or locks.
• If video surveillance is available, save a copy of the incident for detectives.
• If you are a victim, do not touch anything. Call police immediately.
• If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information.
