Take A Break From Thanksgiving Prep For 'Take Out' Tuesday

Order takeout from your favorite 19th Ward restaurant every Tuesday through Dec. 15 and enter to win a $20 'Bucks Stay Here' gift card.

CHICAGO — If you’re bustling to prepare for your Zoom Thanksgiving feast, give yourself a break and head out to your favorite 19th Ward restaurant for curbside, delivery or takeout on Tuesday. “Take-Out Tuesday” is a new 19th Ward campaign to help neighborhood businesses survive the pandemic.

Hosted in conjunction with the Beverly Area Planning Association, Morgan Park Beverly Hills Business Association, 95th Street Business Association, and Mount Greenwood Community and Business Association, “Take-Out Tuesday” will take place every Tuesday through Dec. 15.

To participate, order take out or delivery from any 19th Ward restaurant on Tuesday, post a picture of your meal on social media tagging Ald. Matt O’Shea and the restaurant telling us what you had and be entered to win a free $20 “Bucks Stay Here” gift card that can be used any many of your favorite local businesses.

Winners will be chosen at random every Friday. Pictures must be posted by midnight on Tuesday evening each week to be included. You can post on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to be included.
