Teen Accused of Carjacking Vehicle With Gun
Sixteen-year-old charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm in Hamilton Avenue heist.
CHICAGO — A 16-year-old youth is accused of stealing an occupied vehicle with a gun last Saturday. No injuries were reported, according to a public safety alert.
Around 9 p.m. Aug. 1, on the 9800 block of South Hamilton Avenue, police said the youth carjacked the vehicle at gunpoint. Chicago Police Department’s Area Two Detective Division arrested the youth on Monday, who was charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm.
