White-Gloved Robbers Target South Side Drug Stores: Police
Robbers passed notes demanding cash and pharmaceuticals or approached cashiers demanding money, police said.

CHICAGO — Chicago police are alerting businesses of a pattern of drug store robberies in the 22nd and 4th Districts.
In two of the robberies, a note was passed at the counter demanding cash and pharmaceuticals. During the others, a pair of white-gloved robbers approached the front cashiers and demanded money from the register, according to the community alert.
Police said the robberies happened in the afternoon and evening hours, including:

- 1 p.m., June 14 - 8700 block of South Stony Island Ave.
- 8 p.m. June 14, - 3100 block of West 103rd St.
- 10 p.m June 18 - 11000 block of South Western Ave.
- 8 p.m., June 21 - 11000 block of South Western Ave.
One to two men with light complexions and wearing hooded sweatshirts, face masks and white gloves were spotted at some robberies.
