Adoption Fee Waived For 'Sweetest' Little Rescue Dog

CHICAGO, IL — Meet Sapphire, a tricolor mixed-breed dog who is in need of a loving home. The dog is up for adoption through One Tail at a Time Dog Rescue and is currently living in a foster home. Sapphire's adoption fee has been waived thanks to a generous donor, and she comes with a lifetime of free training, the rescue center said.

Sapphire is around four years old, and is housebroken, crate trained and loves kids, the center said.

"Sapphire is literally the sweetest little hippo you'll ever have the pleasure of knowing," the center posted on Sapphire's profile. "She is a total gem with people and kids and just loves to snuggle, cuddle, and be the best movie watching buddy in the world."

The center said Sapphire is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested, and microchipped.

"Sapphire is basically a perfect creature, save for the fact that she can be aggressive towards other dogs," the center explained. "She will need a family who is comfortable managing this behavior and a home where she won't be encountering too many fellow canines. A fenced in backyard is preferred for her!"
