CHICAGO — Seven 7-Eleven stores were robbed on the city's North and Northwest Sides throughout early November, police said in a community alert. Armed offenders robbed the stores between Nov. 5 and Nov. 16, police said.

In each robbery, at least two suspects grabbed the store clerk and forced them to open the cash register while the other either stood watch or stole merchandise, according to the alert.

The robbers took an unknown amount of money from the cash registers, police said. In one of the robberies, a suspect showed a handgun, according to police.
