Bad Hunter Temporarily Closes After Kitchen Fire

The restaurant will be closed for the next few weeks, owners said.

CHICAGO — Bad Hunter has temporarily closed after a small kitchen fire, the restaurant's owners said. Kitchen staff "acted quickly" and everyone was evacuated safely, the Heisler Hospitality restaurant group said.

"We want to say a sincere THANK YOU to our friends, neighbors, and community for the outpouring of love and support," the restaurant group said in an email. "A very special thank you also to the Chicago Fire Department, for arriving within minutes and acting heroically to save our beautiful restaurant."

The fire broke out on Nov. 20. Bad Hunter will be closed for the next few weeks while repairs are made to the building.
